This cabinet was designed using Google Sketchup based on a picture given to me by a customer. She only had the picture, plus the dimensions she wanted. So I fired up the ol' laptop and got to work. The frame construction is made of poplar with mortise & tennon joinery, and beaded birch paneling for the back and sides. The two drawers have undermount soft close slides, which prevents them from slamming closed, and hides the slides as well. Hardware is from houseofantiquehardware.com, in a weathered cast bronze finish. Basecoat of paint was an espresso flat paint, with 3 coats of Old Fashioned Milk Paint in Light Cream. Antique Crackle was used on certain parts to obtain an old feel finish. 2 coats of lacquer sealed the deal.
